Competitions at RGA
About 
Our optional, friendly club competitions are designed to not only motivate and inspire our gymnasts but to prepare them for future friendly competitions internally within RGA and externally at school events.
Each year we hold three competitions for our recreational members in Year 3* and upwards, including GymTeam. (*This is the age they allowed to compete according to British Gymnastics policy and best practise.)
Our competitions each have a different core focus that will be covered in their weekly class with us.
We also offer optional Competition Preparation sessions, usually during the half term.

Floor & Vault competition on Saturday 29th March 2025
Competition information & entry
Gymnasts taking part in our Floor & Vault competition will compete one floor routine and two vaults to the Judges.
Gymnasts compete in groups arranged by age/ school year. Every gymnast receives a Participation certificate and medals are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions.
How to enter:
Login to your RGA account and click on ‘Membership Account’, followed by ‘Competitions’.
You will then see both the Competition to enter as well as the optional preparation sessions.

Years 3 and 4: 1.30 – 4pm
Years 5, 6 and 7: 4.30 – 6pm

Spectator tickets
Spectator tickets will be available to buy nearer the time. Members who have entered the competition will be emailed all the competition information, including links to buy tickets via EventBrite.

Competition preparation sessions
We host optional preparation sessions for our competitions during half terms.
Ideal for those who have never participated in a competition before, to help them prepare and compete with confidence.
We will also be covering the competition routines in our usual classes, so these are for gymnasts who may never have competed before, or could do with extra support.
Only gymnasts that have signed up for the competition will be able to attend the preparation session.

We host club competitions in Tumbling, Floor & Vault and Acrobatics for our Recreational and Disability/ Inclusion gymnasts in Year 3 and above.
With approximately 150 gymnasts per competition and spectator seating, these member-only events are fun, supportive and family friendly.

Summer Festivals
Held every four years, our hugely popular Summer Festival is the one event that every member takes part in. From pre-school to squads, inclusion to GymTeam, all 1500+ members and our fabulous team of staff and volunteers are involved.
Christmas Displays
