Richmond Acrobats selected for 2026 World Championships
Richmond Gymnastics Association are delighted to announce their selection of Lily Burnett (17) and Evie Pinnington (12) to represent Great Britain at the World Age Group Championships in Pesaro, Italy from 17th – 20th September 2026.
Following their stand-out performance at the Acrobatic British Finals, the newly crowned Youth Women’s Pair British Champions are excited to represent their country and showcase their hard work.
With beautiful routines and expressive choreography, Lily and Evie can’t wait to take to the floor in the Youth Women’s Pair category and enjoy the journey.
Head of Acrobatics at Richmond Gymnastics, Melanie Sanders, said, “We are incredibly proud of Lily and Evie. Their partnership has gone from strength to strength this season and their selection is a testament to their commitment, resilience and love for the sport. Representing Great Britain is a huge achievement and we know they will bring their very best to the world stage.”
Evie (12) commented: “I’m really excited to go to Italy and compete for Great Britain. We’ve worked so hard on our routines and I can’t wait to perform them at such a big competition. It feels amazing to be chosen.”
Lily (17) said: “Being selected for the World Age Group Championships means so much to me. Evie and I have trained so well together this year and we’re ready to show what we can do. I’m looking forward to the whole experience; competing, learning and representing RGA and Great Britain.”
Lily and Evie’s selection is a proud moment for Richmond Gymnastics Association and reflects the hard work they’ve put in throughout the season.
Their progress has been supported by dedicated coaching and the encouragement of the RGA community. Everyone at the club is looking forward to seeing them compete in Pesaro and represent Great Britain with confidence and enjoyment.
