Richmond gymnasts bring home European medals for GB
Huge congratulations to all our acrobats. We are so proud of you all!
Richmond’s gymnasts enjoyed a great Acrobatic European Championships in Luxembourg, representing Great Britain and bringing home silver and bronze medals. In a first for the club, three partnerships from Richmond Gymnastics (RGA) represented Great Britain at Senior level.
The 2025 Senior European All Round Silver medallists are RGA’s Senior Men’s Group, Louis Alexander (19), Freddie Turner (20), Rex Booth (19) and Samuel Ditchburn (18). The Men’s Group also secured a bronze medal in the Dynamic routine final, impressing the audience with their high energy skills and upbeat performance. They showcased exceptional energy in every routine, blending flair and personality with remarkable technical precision.

It was the first time competing at Senior level for RGA’s Senior Mixed Pair Toby Cooper-Driver (18) and Leela Were-Ramini (14). They looked amazing on floor with elegant routines and successful high-power skills, placing 5th in the Dynamic routine finals and a brilliant 8th in the All Round Final.

RGA’s Women’s Group Michaela Cook, Amber Harvey and Chiara Linden dazzled on the competition floor with beautiful, confident routines and high-difficulty, securing them a fantastic 8th place in the Balance routine final.

Melanie added, “In addition to their achievements, these gymnasts have become role models at the club, inspiring the next generation to pursue their dreams with the same passion and resilience. Their accomplishments not only showcase their individual talents but also reflect the strength and unity of our team. The European Championships have been a testament to their perseverance and the incredible support system surrounding them.”
