World Age Group results & news

Congratulations to all our Age Group Acrobats for performing on the World stage and finishing with strong routines. We are so proud of all they have achieved!

The Age Group World Championships took place in Guimaraes, Portugal from 9th – 15th September 2024.

RGA’s three partnerships had a fantastic experience competing against the very best the world has to offer in Acrobatics.

Toby & Leela adding flare to podium training
Toby & Leela Junior Mixed Pair (13-19)
Balance: 25.98 | Dynamic: 27.45

With dramatic expressions running throughout their choreography, they started with a clean Balance routine showing displays of strength and flexibility. They followed with a thrilling and brilliant Dynamic routine that saw them in 7th place in the all round (and 3rd in Dynamic!).

Due to the “one country per final” rule, another TeamGB partnership went through to the final, which is something the gymnasts have always been aware of.

Well done both of you for a great World’s outing!

Christoph & Louisa enjoying the experience
Christoph & Louisa 12-18 Mixed Pair
Balance: 24.92 | Dynamic: 26.40

With expressive routines and clean lines, Christoph and Louisa make for a striking Mixed Pair on the floor. Despite some extra steps needed to steady their first move, they continued strong and elegant in their Balance routine.

Unfortunately, those extra steps resulted in some penalty points, impacting their execution and artistry scores. But they were back the next day and ready to showcase their spectacular Dynamic routine. They competed with precision, style and smiles all round at the end. Well done both of you!

Chloe, Charlotte & Isla 12-18 Women’s Group
Balance 23.02 | Dynamic 26.45

Competition in this age group category is very tough with over 40 partnerships competing for just 15 spaces in the final.

With a charismatic beginning, the girls appeared confident as they approached their first balance. Unfortunately, an uncharacteristic mistake caused a portion of the move to be incomplete, leading to penalties and deductions in their overall score (the “perfect” score is 30). Nevertheless, they persevered through their routine, finishing with a flawless final move and stunning choreography.

Their dynamic routine the next day was dazzling, strong and polished. What an impressive way to bounce back and showcase their abilities. Well done girls!
