Glitz & glamour at our Squad Awards Night

Our squad gymnasts swapped leotards and chalk for dresses and glitz for our inaugural Squad Awards Night!

A fabulous evening with the Acro and Floor & Vault squad gymnasts and their families, as well as coaches and volunteers too!

Thank you to all our coaches and judges who give their time to the gymnasts. You probably realise the time and effort and extra work done by the dedicated team. We are very lucky to have the staff and volunteers that we do have.

Thank you to all our Squad Reps for supporting the staff this year. With an additional thank you to Sue who has supported the club with our second-hand kit stalls and multiple stock checks over many years as well as helping organise lots of volunteers for Christmas displays, multiple hamper organisations and finally organising all our international travel. We are very grateful for all your time and effort, and we will miss you!

Gymnasts of the Year Trophies  

These are for gymnasts who has shown something special during the year within their squad. This could be for a multitude of reasons and is voted for by the squad coaches.

From Squad 3 Acro:

Bella B- for most improvement throughout the year

From Squad 3 Floor & Vault:

Jaylis – for most improvement throughout the year. Jaylis has been working had on her tumbles learning new skills such as her free walkover and round off flick tuck. Always helpful and respectful and kind to her peers.

From Squad 2 Junior Acro:

Aryeta S- for most improvement throughout the year- fantastic personal development and increased level of confidence in her performance.

From Squad 2 Floor & Vault:

Fintan A- for most improvement throughout the year. Fintan is fearless, keen & constantly learning new skills and working on his improvements.

From Squad 2 Intermediate Acro:

Phoebe W- for most improvement throughout the year. Phoebe has showed resilience and passion and works so hard as well as being a pleasure to coach.

From Squad 2 Senior Acro:

Sofia PC- This gymnast has made significant improvement this year. She always works extremely hard during her sessions and is always first to finish on whatever activity it is she is completing. She has made a step up this year learning two routines and adding in several somersaults and handstands to her routines. The transition wasn’t easy, but she never complained, performed at her first international competition and National Finals, and behaved phenomenally.

From Squad 1 Floor & Vault:

Ava TA- for most improvement throughout the year. Always works hard and pushes herself to learn new skills, recently she’s worked extra hard on her back tumbling and twists.

From Squad 1 Acro:

Chiara L- for quickest base to senior top transition with quickest GB selection

Leela WR- for transition to senior in 6 months with GB selection
