We are 65!

Richmond Gymnastics is proud to mark an extraordinary 65 years of achievements!
RGA Senior Men's Group - European All round Silver & Dynamic Bronze medallists 2025

From the Olympic Head Coach and Acrobatic Technical Chairpersons to the youngest High Performance Coach in Great Britain, RGA has consistently led the way in gymnastics expertise. The founding team also played a pivotal role in introducing ‘Sports Acrobatics’ to the UK from the US in 1976.

Staveley Mixed Pair - World Championship competitors 1982

Throughout this time, the club has produced medallists regionally, nationally, and internationally in Artistic, Acrobatics, Tumbling, and Disability/Inclusion disciplines, from the 1960s to the present day.

Notably, their Senior Men’s Group recently returned with the Silver All-Around and Bronze Dynamic Routine medals from the 2025 Acrobatic European Championships.

RGA Centre rising 1999

Founded in 1960, Staveley Gymnastics merged its Competitive Squads with Richmond Gymnastics in 1992, contributing to the creation of one of the largest recreational gymnastics clubs in the country.

After years of relocating, the club finally built its own gymnastics centre in 1999, leading to the establishment of the RGA Centre as we know today in Kew.

This year RGA will be holding various member events to celebrate and as a registered charity, to help raise money that will be invested directly back into the club.

You can find out about our current JustGiving campaign here.

Throughout 2025, we celebrate the opportunities RGA provides for local children to engage in gymnastics and all that sport can teach through classes, camps, parties, competitions and more.
