We can’t wait to see you all there!

Festival information for members

The gymnasts have been allocated to perform in one of the 3 performance sessions, Morning, Afternoon or Evening based on a number of reasons including: number of gymnasts per class group, number of potential spectators and coach availability.

Those gymnasts with morning gymnastics classes, will be scheduled to perform in either the Afternoon or Evening sessions.

Morning Performances run from 08:45- 12:05– Gymnasts will perform their display twice during this time- parents will only watch one of the performances. Choice of performance will be on a first-come-first-served basis. There are a maximum 2 tickets per family due to space availability. Gymnasts must remain at the gym for the entire period of time in order to perform with their team.

Afternoon Performances run from 12:30-15:40– Gymnasts will perform their display twice during this time- parents will only watch one of the performances. Choice of performance will be on a first-come-first-served basis. There are a maximum 2 tickets per family due to space availability. Gymnasts must remain at the gym for the entire period of time in order to perform with their team.

Evening Performances run from 16:00-19:35– Gymnasts will perform their display twice during this time- parents will only watch one of the performances. Choice of performance will be on a first-come-first-served basis. There are a maximum 2 tickets per family due to space availability. Gymnasts must remain at the gym for the entire period of time in order to perform with their team.

1.  Register your child via your online account to ensure they are booked in. Select ‘Membership Account’, then select ‘Competitions’.

Registration costs £5 and gymnasts will receive a special RGA Festival wristband on arrival and be awarded a medal at the end of the Morning session for their participation.

2.  Check the costume your child will need to wear on the day below on this information letter. Each class has been allocated a different sport in honour of the 2024 Olympics and will wear the costume associated with the sport.

RGA has tried to ensure that the costume would be something gymnasts will already have in their wardrobe or could borrow to limit the costs involved. RGA also has a number of props etc that will be lent to gymnasts throughout the day so no additional things will need to be bought.

3. Every registered gymnast will then receive the link during half term to buy spectator tickets. There are a maximum 2 allocated tickets per family as the viewing area is not large enough to accommodate more.

This year’s theme is “Olympics 2024” and our gymnasts will perform to songs and dress up in costumes relating to their allocated Olympic sport.

RGA has a number of Great Britain squad members, and they will be performing their routines in preparation to trial for the World Championships.

We hope everyone enjoys this special day celebrating the success of all our gymnasts.

Good luck to our coaches and volunteers- there will be 1,000 gymnasts performing throughout the day!

  • Please make sure you register your child for the Festival as soon as possible
  • Ticket links will be sent out in half term so you can book ready for the performances (please remember only 2 tickets per family for one display only). There is limited seating, and tickets go fast.
  • The Market place outside the gym will have a barbecue and drinks tent, tea and cake tent and lots of things available to buy on the day.
  • Families are encouraged to stay after the Morning sessions finish to have lunch and kids can check out the bouncy castle, Glitter Tent and “Kids’ Corner”, where there will be lots of games for the little ones.
  • RGA will be operating a “token system” throughout the day.
  • Our specialist sports photographers- “DE Photography” will be photographing throughout the day so you can get some great snaps of your child.
  • Please make sure your child is on time and you are here in plenty of time to watch the performance as we are working to a very tight schedule and the show will go on regardless of whether all the gymnasts and spectators have arrived.
  • Please note there will be NO parking in the RGA car park on the day, but there is alternative parking at our overflow car park or at the Kew retail park just a short walk away. We advise everyone to park at Kew Retail and walk so that traffic on Townmead Road is kept to a minimum.
  • Arrive at 08:45 ready in your costume
  • All belongings need to fit into a named bag (including shoes- we suggest sliders)
  • Bags will be placed in boxes alongside the gymnasts in the class to help manage the volume of items
  • Every child needs to bring a named water bottle that can also be placed in the bag.
  • There won’t be time to go to the Marketplace in between displays, so please ensure your child has a healthy snack they can have in between to keep their energy levels up (no nuts please)
  • Gymnasts will be presented with their medals and handed to parents at the front door of the gym after they have performed in both displays.
  • Parents won’t be allowed into the gym, and coaches will be in loco parentis throughout the display period.
  • Gymnasts will be finished and need collecting from the front doors at the end.

Does my child have to do both Displays?

Yes. For the sake of their team mates in class and logistics, please make sure your child takes part in both Displays.

My child takes more than one class. Which Displays should they do?

Please choose only one class that your child will do the Displays for.

When can I buy spectator tickets?

Links to buy spectator tickets will be emailed to members in half term. Only members who have entered the Festival will receive the links.
