We hope everyone has settled into their classes and are enjoying their gymnastics!

At the moment, our Gymnastics for All programme is working towards our exclusive Richmond Award Scheme that combines skills, sequences and rebound progressions. Our youngest members with our Rompers Preschool programme are busy working on their physical and social development and for the 3-4 year olds- they are working towards their RGA member-only Elephant badge.

During half term we’re offering a Stay and Play Pre-school session and Holiday Camps for those in primary school. Spaces are still available for booking!

After half term, we will be working on our Tumbling skills for the RGA Tumbling Championships on the 10th December, open to all our Gymnastics for All, GymTeam and Invitational gymnasts. Find out more here

Our popular Squad Christmas Displays will also be taking place from 14th – 17th December. Keep an eye on our social media and website nearer the time for more details.

And finally, we are hosting our handy Drop & Shop sessions from 19th – 23rd December for children in primary school. Keep an eye on your emails and bookmark this page for booking information after half term.

Free inclusion gymnastics session this August!

We are offering a free taster session for those with a disability and/or additional needs on 31st August at 2pm.

As well as producing World and European medallists and running one of the largest recreational programmes in the country, Richmond Gymnastics provides Disability and Inclusion gymnastics offering children with additional needs the opportunity to get involved with sport activities.

Our open session is being held at the RGA Centre in Kew (TW9 4EL) on Wednesday 31st August from 2-3pm. Advance booking required- please see here for further details and to book.

We are also keen to talk to organisations working with special needs children within the London Borough of Richmond to open up further opportunities for children to take part. Please contact us here for an informal chat about how we can open up more opportunities together.

RGA’s Diamond Summer Festival a great success

Richmond Gymnastics celebrated their 62nd year with a Diamond Summer Festival on 25th June. With nearly 800 gymnasts taking part over the course of the day, the event was a huge success for the club.

‘Thank you for creating such a festival vibe.’ RGA member

Outside was a festival vibe, with the smell of the coffee in the morning and wafts from the BBQ to tempt members in the afternoon.

‘The food and drinks were gorgeous and the bbq such a treat.’ RGA member

With the second hand kit stall doing a roaring trade, children were entertained with a bouncy castle, hook a duck as well as a ‘glitter tent’ doing hair, nails, facepainting and temporary tattoos. There was even the chance to have a photo taken with gymnasts from the club who have represented TeamGB, as well as professional sports photographers, DE Photos there on the day to capture the special moments.

‘Thank you for an incredible show.  I was in tears and thoroughly entertained.’ RGA member

Inside the gym and combining their competitive squads alongside their recreational and inclusive programme, the gymnasts ranged from 6 – 23 years old and performed gymnastics displays in front of nearly 200 people!

‘She was completely inspired by the older gymnasts.’ RGA member

It is the first time since 2016 that the club has been able to hold their Festival and were delighted with the turn out and support from members and the local community.

‘Watching all the gymnasts perform I felt so lucky that my girls are part of such a great community.’ RGA member

The club would like to thank again their crew of festival staff and volunteers for their tireless work and good humour!
